Formerly The Cooper Square Hotel, The Standard, East Village is André Balazs’ 5th Standard Hotel in addition to The Standard group of hotels in New York, Los Angeles and Miami. Fourth Arts Block (FAB) is a non-profit organization founded in 2001 by cultural and community groups to establish and advance the East 4th Street Cultural District, between 2nd Avenue and Bowery.  FAB provides a variety of services to its member organizations including leading the development and conversion of 100,000 square feet of cultural space, marketing and promotion of the district, as well as offering discount ticketing and other community events and programs.

The Bowery Hotel, which opened in February 2007, is a leader in the revitalization of the Lower East Side neighborhood. Located on Bowery and 3rd Street, the hotel is home to a warm and welcoming lobby, complete with handpicked antique furnishings, complimentary newspapers, a cozy fireplace, and an outdoor patio.
